Joshua Hartman is a Financial Planner with Michigan Financial Companies-Retirement Group. As a Financial Planner, Josh is dedicated to help clients address the diverse needs of each client as they financially prepare for their future. He provides recommendations for asset allocation, funding for education, retirement, as well as life and long-term care insurance. He works closely with business owners, executive teams and their advisors to help pursue their financial goals and implement strategies to meet their distinctive needs.
Before entering a career in financial services, Josh spent 15 years working in nonprofit and human service organizations. Given his extensive experience in the field, he is better able to understand the unique needs and challenges of nonprofit and human service organizations and leaders, private practice therapists, social workers and healthcare workers. By pursuing a career as a Financial Planner he is able to marry this experience with his interest and passion in finance to provide exceptional planning and guidance to individuals and organizations engaged in improving the lives of individuals, families, and our communities.

Josh currently resides in Livonia, Michigan with his wife, Shirley, their dogs, Maizey and Trey and their cat, Blue. He supports the major Detroit sports teams with a special love of the Michigan Wolverines. He also enjoys reading, hiking and travel and is currently learning to speak Korean.
