Kristen Walker is a Senior Vice President with Michigan Financial Companies. Her purpose is to help financial advisors pursue the goals they have for their independent practices. Each of our advisors are owners of their own business who have chosen to affiliate with our firm for the unique support we provide. Through our Practice Management division, Kristen guides the advisor on all aspects of managing their practice which includes building their team, honing their service offerings, multi-generational planning efforts, strategies to increase the overall value of their book of business, marketing, technology, and more. The reports and plans generated during her one-on-one meetings with our advisors are fully customized to their specific goals and objectives for their practice.
Beginning and growing her career through the firm’s marketing department, Kristen has a special understanding of the individualized marketing strategies our team can assist financial advisors with. She also works closely with the marketing department on the overall branding of the firm and with the recruiting team to attract and retain individuals who align with our firm’s core values of Growth, Respect, Excellence, All-In and Trust. As a Senior Vice President, she is heavily involved in the overall operations of the firm, across all locations, working closely with our President & CEO and the rest of our leadership team on a daily basis.
Kristen graduated from the University of Michigan in May of 2012 with her Bachelors of Business Administration from the Ross School of Business. She joined Michigan Financial Companies shortly thereafter and has been with the firm ever since. Kristen currently resides in Knoxville, TN with her husband, Erik, their son, Logan, and their dog, Oberon. In her free time, she loves to take advantage of the fun outdoor activities in East Tennessee with her family.
